Be positive with the girls as much as you can.

Also to tell them what you want them to do, as opposed to what NOT to do eg. say "push your arms higher at the back" instead of saying "your arms are too low".

Mark out a pace ladder EVERY training and work on it for all your basics.

Do basics every training - practising step outs, halts, mark times, armswings etc

Mark out a field and mark out movements such as wheels, inclines etc

Vary how you work on things - indiv, pairs, ranks, team block.

Utilise the girls to watch each other and correct each other - make sure they know what to look for first.

Plan out your display with good patterns and field coverage - don't just work it out as you go along.

Plan out training sessions so you know what you hope to achieve

Go to coaching courses, talk to other coaches, go and observe someone else coaching or ask someone to come and help you - there is always more you can learn and improve on, no matter how long you have been coaching.
